FYI, the Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV video game, which is one of the BEST games we have ever played, is also available for the Playstation 3 and the Personal Computer.
(Added 09/27/07) The site, www.fraggerock.com also came to the same independent conclusion that we did (and yes…, before us). Here’s a quote from their site: “he’s the most annoying NPC (non player character) in video game history“.

The 2nd most annoying video game character of all time is Toadstool from Super Mario Bros. Walking around with that ridiculous thing on his head…RIDICULOUS.
Your character can also pick-pocket the Adoring Fan throughout the game. You can also lock him up in a room in your house and try to starve him to death, but he never dies.
I would very much enjoy beating this elf-boy to within an inch of his life. His face would be unrecognizable to his peers after I get finished with that annoying POS.
My costume for Halloween this year will hopefully be that of “The Adoring Fan” from Oblivion.

I hope Bethesda writes him into their next installment of the game. As much as I hate the Adoring Fan, he’s fun to pick on. I may re-play the game…but this time I will create my character to look EXACTLY like the Adoring Fan and even name him the Adoring Fan. Then I will spend the whole game running away from enemies and stalking some poor character from the Arena. It might be a little weird when I get to the point in the game where I meet the “real” Adoring Fan but it will be worth it to see the look on his face.
