Try A Hobbit's Breakfast!

Saturday, April 26th, 2008 4:00 am by BGW

Sam CookingIf there’s one thing you should do in your life before you die, it’s the following — you should try to eat like a Hobbit one morning.

A Hobbit’s breakfast consists of the following:

  1. sausages
  2. tomatoes (pronounced toe-mah-toes)
  3. nice “crispy” bacon
  4. freshly baked bread (optional)
  5. brown hen eggs (they’ve gotta be brown)

Due to J. R. R. Tolkien’s traditional English upbringing, the Hobbit breakfast is primarily based on the English Breakfast, which also can consist of mushrooms and potatoes usually all fried up in lard. You have the option to top it off with a nice slice of orange if the mood fits.

IMPORTANT OFFEROFTHEDAY.com DISCOVERY:

Upon a closer examination of the Samwise Gamgee action figure shown below (come to think of it, an obsessive scrutinization took place), we noticed sausage links attached to Sam’s backpack. So we feel that it’s imperative that you include sausage in your Hobbit Breakfast.
