The Hero Hot Dog Steamer - Your Hot Dogs are RRReady!
Hero Hot Dog Steamer
Haven’t you always wondered what it would feel like to cook half a dozen hot dogs in an appliance that looks like a cheap Snoopy rip-off? Well now you can with the Hero Hot Dog Steamer - the epitome of hot dog steamers. Simply add water and up to six hot dogs, and cook for about eight minutes. The thermostat goes off and the steamer barks when your hot dogs are ready.
The Hero Hot Dog Visualization Exercise:
First of all, come up with a name for your new hot dog steamer. Here are some suggestions: Fido, Rex, and Spot. For the sake of this example, we will use “Spot“.
Every time you cook hot dogs with Spot, pet him a little and say “Good boy Spot, sit here and watch the kitchen. That’s it.., good boy!“, then go off about your daily activities. After eight or so minutes, you should hear Spot start to bark incessantly. Now visualize that something COMPLETELY HORRIBLE has happened and that Spot needs your help. Here are some suggestions of things you can visualize:
- A sexual predator has broken into your house to attack your wife or daughter (if you don’t have a wife or daughter, just visualize as if you did….work with me here).
- Your child has fallen into the swimming pool and is drowning (again, if you don’t have any kids…use your imagination).
- Your house has caught fire and will soon burn you alive in what should be a horrible, agonizing death.
- A mountain lion has jumped through your kitchen window and has started to maul your family.
- Come up with your own ideas. After all, this is a visualization exercise…
As you run to the kitchen in hysterics to see why Spot is barking, yell something like “Spot, what’s wrong boy?!?!”. Imagine Spot barking out “Ruff, youRRRR hot dogs are RRRRReady! Ruff Ruff“. At this point, breathe a HUGE sigh of relief because nothing serious has happened! More importantly though, you should feel quite happy that your meal consisting of delicious hot dogs is now ready. Finally, pat Spot on the back, scratch behind his ears, and imagine him wagging his tail while you say to him “Good boy, Spot. Good Boy.”
